SHAKESPEARE ON OUR IPAD OR IPHONE?

Yes! Although Shakespeare died in 1616, he's into the lastest techonology too.
There were a few apps on his life and works but now a new app has been released to mark William Shakespeare's birthday. It lets users take a virtual reality tour of the Globe theatre he made famous.
It's called Shakespeare's Globe 360 App and it's awesome!
In the video below you can see how it works.

If you want to see how it was released and the opinion of boys and girls about it, click here you watch the video on the BBC Newsround Channel.

Bachillerato students remember Anne Frank

Some Bachillerato students from our school  have been doing some research on Anne Frank and her diary. On a day like this, they want to honour her with this video collecting some quotes from it.

#notsilent: Remembering Anne Frank

This year the Anne Frank Trust and Penguin Random House (UK publishers of The Diary of A Young Girl) have joined together to mark the 70th anniversary of Anne’s death with a one minute campaign called #notsilent.

Instead of a one minute’s silence to commemorate the end of Anne Frank’s short life, they invite us to read out loud a one minute passage from Anne’s inspirational writing at any time on or after Tuesday 14th April.

Since her diary has been translated to more than 70 languages, we wanted to take part in this event by reading two extracts in English, Galego and Spanish. These are your schoolmates' readings.

PIG SEEN FLYING OVER LONDON!

Would you believe that piece of news? Obviously, not, but if you watched the news on a British, Canadian, American or Irish channel, you could come across something similar. The reason: APRIL FOOL'S DAY.
April Fool’s Day is on April 1st. It‘s the custom in the UK to play a trick or a joke on someone on this day. If the person falls for the joke then they are called an ‘April Fool’. In fact it’s only half a day because April Fool’s Day finishes at midday.

We also have a special day for playing jokes or trciks on our freinds and relatives; December 28th.
Have you ever played on jokes or tricks on someone?
If you want to find out more about some popular jokes or pranks played on this day in the UK, click here to read an article on them.
